I love how even though she pushed him away, he doesn't hold it against her, he has such a strong sense of empathy.You're a good man, Maverick Rylan. I love how protect and loyal he is, true to his roots and his brothers but also to Alexa. Maverick is simply delicious and one of my favorite heroes. From the beginning you see how manipulative and controlling her fiancee is, even if Alexa doesn't quite want to admit it to herself yet. Our heroine is suffering in a relationship, where she is being emotionally and slightly physically abused.
This story is wonderful, and not exactly what I was expecting to be honest, but I really enjoyed how it wasn't quite as dark as I was expecting it to be. This author never ceases to amaze me with her stories, and Ride Rough kept me immersed.
